Timer's Tips
-
Following the red light there should be no further timing indication - no bells, buzzers
or the like.
-
If a speaker has taken excessively too much time, it's best not to embarrass them by
specifically giving the time. Inform them that they were over time and leave it at that.
-
Ensure that the lights are visible to the stage.
-
You may be asked for the time limits of a particular segment. Be prepared and know all of the
time constraints before the meeting starts.
-
The warm up session allows each person 30 to 45 seconds. Do not use the lights. After one
minute tap a glass indicating that time is up and that timekeeping will no longer continue.
